OldYoungSea joins the Ocean Initiatives! Will you too?

Almost 900 events are already planned as part of THE 18TH EDITION OF THE OCEAN INITIATIVES! This emblematic Surfrider Foundation Europe event aims to mobilize citizens around the problem of MARINE LITTER. This mobilization is necessary to achieve one of the objectives set by Surfrider for 2013: A BAN ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BAGS IN EUROPE. 

The Ocean Cleanups are ACTIONS OF AWARENESS for the problem of marine litter, together with cleanups on beaches, lakes, rivers and sea beds. They are aimed at everyone that wishes to help fight the scourge of marine litter.

Around the world, hundreds of volunteers, local Surfrider representatives, families, friends, teachers and athletes have already started to organize events near their homes, in order to stop the invasion of plastic in our oceans.
